Irrigation

As well as light and warmth, lettuce needs water to grow. Once the crop has been planted, the farmer walks the field every two days to check the growing conditions and make sure the lettuce is getting enough water.

There are always weeds in the soil, so we have a tractor with a special hoe that takes the weeds out without damaging the crop.
